Here you find some information about the activities you can make around our "house Köfer" Ille in Kärnten.

  • Swimming

    It is only about 250 m from our house to a small beach in beautiful Pritschitzer Bay where you have a view of the church in Maria Wörth. Of course, you can also go to the public bathing beach in Pörtshach, where you will find a giant slide and an area for small children. Besides swimming and relaxing, you can also play ping pong or beach volleyball, or go waterskiing.

  • Running and Nordic walking

    We have a running and Nordic walking park in Pörtschach. Three of the 7 trails go past our house (see www.runnersfun.com ). There are weekly running and Nordic walking meets.

  • Biking

    There are a number of possibilities to go biking in the area. You can, for example, take the bike path to Pörtschach, Velden or Klagenfurt; you can bike around the lake; or, if you are looking for a challenge, you can tryout the Ironman Austria.

  • Golf

    There are 3 golf courses not far from our house: Golf course Moosburg – Pörtschach, Golf course Klagenfurt – Seltenheim, Golf course Velden – Köstenberg

  • Tennis

    Pörtschach has many tennis courts.

  • Hiking

    Right from our front door, you can choose from a number of different hiking possibilities, depending on whether you want to hike on flat land, in the hilly area north of the lake, or hike a section of the Wörthersee-Höhenrundwanderweg (a path that leads around the lake, mainly in the hills surrounding the lake). And if you are looking for something more challenging, you can go on a half-day’s or day’s hike on one of the many mountains or in one of the canyons in Carinthia.

  • Other activities

    In Carinthia there is a wealth of other activities for our guests. You can go for a boat ride on one of Carinthia’s lakes; you can take a lift up or a bob down a mountain; you can go to one of the many museums or other attractions. It would be best and cheapest to do all of these things using the Kärnten Card (see www.kaerntencard.at). We refund 50% of the cost of the Kärnten Card if you stay 7+ nights.
